After the administration of the Kaliningrad region announced its intention to transfer former buildings of Catholic and Protestant churches into the ownership of the Russian Orthodox Church, a conflict arose around vocational school No. 5, located in the former pastor's house and community house. Representatives of the Kaliningrad diocese suggested that the director of the school, Sergei Bushuev, sign a deed of gift for these premises. The director refused and resigned.

On October 25, 2010, in Moscow, near house 3 on Bryanskaya Street, a 41-year-old visitor from Azerbaijan and a 32-year-old native of Chechnya were attacked. In October 2010, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Russia in the Siberian Federal District reported on its work to supervise the implementation of legislation in the field of combating crimes of an “extremist nature” (see the SOVA Center’s report on “Crimes of an extremist nature” ). It is reported that over 9 months of 2010, 45 such crimes were identified in the district.

In October 2010, in the city of Yoshkar-Ola of the Republic of Mari El, a verdict was passed in the case of 18-year-old student of the Road Technical School, Andrey Mezentsev.
