A criminal case has been opened for xenophobic insults against a native of the Caucasus
On March 20, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kostroma Region announced the initiation of a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity) against a 25-year-old local resident. According to investigators, on January 13, 2012, a woman in the village of Nikolskoye, Kostroma District, shouted xenophobic insults at the district police officer, a native of the Caucasus.
