March 28, 2013 Ufimsky District Court sentenced Fanzil Akhmetshin , Chairman Council of the Kurultai of the Bashkir Youth. He was found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 188 of the Criminal Code (moving through border of the Russian Federation of narcotic drugs), Part 1 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code (illegal acquisition, storage, transportation of narcotic drugs), part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity).

In March 2013 in Rostov-on-Don was completed investigation of a criminal case on inciting ethnic hatred (part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code). The founder and editor will soon be in the dock newspaper "Russkaya Zhizn", head of the Rostov regional branch of the "Russian party" and chairman of the "Union of the Russian people" 57-year-old Konstantin Sorokin, who is accused of publishing xenophobic articles in his newspaper.

In March 2013, in the city of Barysh, Ulyanovsk Region, a verdict was passed in the case of inciting ethnic hatred (Part 1, Article 282 of the Criminal Code). In the dock was 22-year-old unemployed Vladimir Mikheev, who was accused of publishing a certain person on his page on a social network material directed against immigrants from the Caucasus and Central Asia. The court found the young man guilty and sentenced him to 240 hours of compulsory work.

On the evening of March 27, 2013 at about 30 Muslims of different nationalities, visitors to the halal cafe "Diana", located near the historic mosque on Bolshaya Tatarskaya Street in Moscow were attacked by the police. According to eyewitnesses, people broke into the cafe masked, forced visitors to lie on the floor, beat them, hit them with gun butts, walked on their hands and insulted them (in particular, they called them “Muslim pigs").

In March 2013 in the Petushinsky district of the Vladimir region a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (initiation of a national hate). The case was initiated against a 21-year-old local resident, whom accused of what he posted in January 2012 on his page in social network racist video "Skinheads", which demonstrates execution of immigrants from Tajikistan and Dagestan.

March 28, 2013 to the State Duma RF introduced a draft law "On Amending Article 9 of the Federal Law "On Freedom of Conscience and religious associations".

March 28, 2013 in the Oryol and Ryazan regions provider "Rostelecom" blocked access to social networks "VKontakte" and Odnoklassniki, as well as YouTube video hosting and the livejournal.com blog platform (the latter was blocked only Ryazan users). When trying to access the relevant sites, Rostelecom customers found an announcement that the resource was blocked due to its ban and inclusion in the Federal List of Extremist Materials or with its inclusion in unified register of prohibited sites.
