On May 1, 2014, in Moscow, the police again detained Denis Gerasimov, the founder of the Kolovrat rock group. Gerasimov was detained on the morning of May 1 at the exit from the house. The musician intended to organize acoustic concert after the nationalist rally near the Schukinskaya metro station. We recall that previously D. Gerasimov has already been detained in the framework of the case under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred).

On May 1, 2014, several actions were held in Moscow, organized by ultra-right parties and associations. On May 1, 2014, the Moscow nationalists, unable to reach an agreement on a single action "Russian May Day", held several separate events instead. At noon, the Russian Association assembled a traditional procession from the Oktyabrskoye Pole metro station to the Shchukinskaya metro station along the streets of Marshal Biryuzov and Marshal Vasilevsky.
