On July 28, 2014, the Moscow City Court rejected the complaint of Alexei Navalny and recognized the decision as legal about blocking his blog in LiveJournal (navalny.livejournal.com). At the meeting, it became known that the blog was blocked because of two entries, the first of which was devoted to the events in Ukraine, and in the conclusion contained a call to come support the defendants in the riot case on Bolotnaya Square.

The Pussy Riot members filed a final version of the complaint with the ECHR, in which they confirmed their previous claims and indicated the amount of compensation for legal costs and non-pecuniary damage that they suffered as a result of criminal prosecution.

On July 28, 2014, the US State Department released the text of the annual report on the state of religious freedom in the world. Among the countries where in 2013 there were facts of restriction of religious freedom, Russia was noted. In particular, the authors of the report believe that anti-extremist legislation significantly worsens the situation in the field of religious freedom.
