The Muslim community of Kaliningrad appealed to the President of the Russian Federation with a request to verify the legality of the decision to ban the construction of a mosque in the South city ​​park. On August 4, 2014, it became known that the religious organization Muslims of Kaliningrad addressed Vladimir Putin with an open letter, where asked to intervene in the situation with the ban on the construction of the mosque.

At the request of the prosecutor's office, the court in the Volgograd region recognized as extremist the publications of the Kavkaz Novosti website, stimulating religious hatred.
