Smolensk: a verdict was passed in the case of publishing xenophobic materials on a social network
In September 2014 in Smolensk to 1 year in prison a 24-year-old local resident was given a suspended sentence, who since 2012 had been publishing xenophobic materials on the VKontakte social network, distribution of some of which is prohibited due to the decision of the courts. In September 2014, in Smolensk, the court delivered a verdict in the case on incitement of national hatred (part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code).
