A presidential bill banning religious texts has been submitted to the State Duma
The Bible, Koran, Tanakh and Kanjur will be banned, no one guarantees protection for other sacred texts. On October 14, 2015, Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma draft law on the ban on the recognition of extremist sacred texts of world religions. Since the bill is introduced by the President, it will be considered urgently. It is also reported that a similar draft law, proposed earlier by the deputy from the Chechen Republic Shamsail Saraliev, will be withdrawn.
