In the Pskov region, a memorial at a Jewish cemetery was destroyed
On August 29, 2016, unknown persons destroyed the Blue dacha" in the Nevelsky district of the Pskov region., established in memory of Jews shot during World War II. Vandals knocked down tombstones slabs and destroyed the lilac bushes on the Alley of the Righteous. The memorial was erected at the Jewish cemetery, not far from Nevel, in a place where a ghetto existed during the war years. In 1941 there was about two thousand people were shot.
