Four members of the banned Hizb ut-Tahrir party have been sentenced to prison terms. On July 27, 2017, the collegium of the Supreme Court of Russia toughened the sentence handed down under Part 2 of Art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of a terrorist organization) and Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred) against four followers of the Hizb ut-Tahrir party from Nizhnevartovsk.

Zeytullayev's term of imprisonment in a strict regime colony has been increased from 12 to 15 years.
