The oppositionist was kept in a cage during the trial and was not allowed to attend his father's funeral. Oppositionist from Ingushetia Magomed Khazbiev, accused of illegal possession of weapons (Article 222 of the Criminal Code), insulting a representative of the authorities (Part 1 of Article 319 of the Criminal Code) and incitement of hatred (Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code), filed with the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) complaint against detention.

A resident of the village of Peno, Tver region, is charged under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code. In September 2018, it became known that in the Tver region, the Penovsky District Court would consider the case of a local resident who was charged under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred).

In totalsince the start of the year, three have been killed and at least 22 injured inattacks motivated by racism or hate across six Russian regions.

In Granada, the police detained a 21-year-old young man who is wanted in Russia as the leader of a skinhead gang. In August 2018, in Spain, in the city of Granada, the police detained a 21-year-old native of the city of Engels, Saratov Region. He is under an international extradition order to the Russian authorities. According to media reports, in Russia the detainee is suspected of vandalism, burglaries motivated by ethnic hatred, robberies and arson of enterprises.

In Samara, the prosecutor's office demanded that the "Emergency Dispatch Service" paint over the swastika on the facade of a residential building. In September 2018, in Samara, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Industrial District, during a routine inspection, discovered a swastika on the facade of a residential building (Kalinina Street, 97). A submission was made to the address of the "Emergency Dispatch Service" with a request to eliminate the violation and remove the drawing.

The Strasbourg court will consider a complaint against the sentence of a Tatar activist. On September 10, 2018, Irina Khrunova, a lawyer for the Agora international human rights group, reported that the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) had registered a complaint by Danis Safargali, leader of the Tatar patriotic front Altyn Urda (Golden Horde).
