10 April 2020, Vladimir Putin approved 40 members of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation for presidential quota. Among them are representatives of religious organizations.

Due to the increase in the number of administrative cases under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (production and distribution of prohibited materials), we combine such cases into a single list for each month. On April 21, 2020, the Ust-Ilimsk City Court of the Irkutsk Region fined two local residents, A. Kukaniyev and Sh. Saidov, 2,000 rubles each for publishing prohibited materials on the Internet.

On April 11, 2020, in Teykovo, Ivanovo Region, as part of the investigation of a new criminal case, at least four searches were carried out at the homes of Jehovah's Witnesses. The case was initiated on April 10, 2020 under Part 1 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (organization of the activities of an extremist organization).

On April 12, 2020, it became known that a resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory destroyed the Bodhi stupa in the village of Sukhaya, Yemelyanovsky district. A video appeared on social networks, where a woman, climbing onto a stupa, hits it with a sledgehammer. The author of the video convinces her to get down and stop the act of vandalism, but the attacker continues to destroy the Buddhist monument, answering that she "does not respect Satan" .
