Sentence of Jehovah's Witnesses from Polyarny upheld
Jehovah's Witnesses Trofimov and Markin found guilty under Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code and will have to pay large fines. On May 25, 2020, the Murmansk Regional Court upheld the sentence handed down to Jehovah's Witnesses Viktor Trofimov and Roman Markin, who were accused of organizing the activities of an extremist organization (Part 1, Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code). And on December 16, 2021, the Third Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction in St. Petersburg approved this decision.
