61-year-old Gennady Shpakovsky was found guilty of organizing the activities of an extremist organization and financing it. On June 9, 2020, the Pskov City Court found 61-year-old Jehovah's Witness Gennady Shpakovsky guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (organization of the activities of an extremist organization) and Part 1 of Art. 282.3 of the Criminal Code (financing of extremist activities) and sentenced him to six and a half years in prison.

Residents of the city of Maisky are suspected of organizing the activities of an extremist organization. On June 4, 2020, in Kirov, the Leninsky District Court began considering the case of three followers of the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses: 60-year-old Alexander Shamov, 29-year-old Andrey Shchepin, and 71-year-old Yevgeny Udintsev.
