The court acquitted Jehovah's Witness in the case of calls for extremism
Yuri Zalipaev was found not guilty under part 1 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code. On October 7, 2020, the Maisky District Court of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic found not guilty a follower of the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses Yuri Zalipaev, accused under Part 1 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremism). On January 22, 2021, the Supreme Court of the Republic confirmed this decision.
