On December 7, 2020, during a meeting with Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova, Vladimir Putin recalled the need to transfer several objects of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra to the Russian Orthodox Church. At the meeting, among other things, restoration work on the territory of the monastery was discussed. “ There are still some objects on the territory of the Lavra that need to be returned,” the president said. According to the minister, this issue is being studied.
