The court overturned the acquittal in the case of Jehovah's Witnesses from Yugorsk
Andrei Zhukov and Ivan Sorokin are accused of organizing the activities of a banned community and involving others in it. The court of first instance completely acquitted them, but the appellate court sent the case for a new trial. On November 20, 2023, the court of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug overturned the acquittal of Jehovah's Witnesses Ivan Sorokin and Andrei Zhukov, which was rendered by the Yugorsky District Court on August 7, 2023. The case was sent for a new trial.
