Case against believers under Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code was initiated back in April 2018. On June 1, 2022, the Leninsky District Court of Vladivostok found six Jehovah's Witnesses — Valentin Osadchuk, Nadezhda Anoykina, Nina Purga, Raisa Usanova, Lyubov Galaktionova, and Nailya Kogay — guilty of sch. 1 and 2 Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (organization of the activities of an extremist organization and participation in such) and sentenced them to suspended prison terms.
