Smolensk oppositionist sentenced to six and a half years in prison
Sergey Komandirov received a real term for posts in the social network. On July 28, 2022, the 2nd Western District Military Court, at an offsite hearing in Smolensk, sentenced local opposition blogger Sergei Komandirov. He was sentenced to six and a half years in prison, which is half a year less than the term requested by the public prosecutor. He was also fined 30 thousand rubles and deprived of his right to post materials on the Internet for five years.
