Earlier, Maxim Beltikov was sentenced to two years in prison. On September 13, 2022, the Krasnodar Regional Court upheld the sentence of Jehovah's Witness Maxim Beltikov under Part 2 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of an extremist organization). On January 17, the Pavlovsky District Court of the Krasnodar Territory sentenced Beltikov to two years in prison in a penal colony. The criminal case against the believer was opened in June 2020.
