In December 2021, Alexander Nikolaev was sentenced to two and a half years in prison. On October 20, 2022, the Krasnodar Regional Court approved the sentence under Part 2 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of an extremist organization) to Alexander Nikolaev, a Jehovah's Witness from the village of Kholmskaya.
