The court approved the sentence of Crimean citizen Ernes Ametov in the case of involvement in Hizb ut-Tahrir
Previously, Ametov was sentenced to 11 years in prison. On November 30, 2023, the Military Court of Appeal confirmed the sentence of Crimean journalist Ernes Ametov. On December 29, 2022, the Southern District Military Court sentenced him to 11 years in a maximum security colony and a year of restriction of freedom after release. The court found the Crimean citizen involved in the activities of the radical Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir, which is recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia.
