In September 2022, a suspect in drug trafficking and financing the Right Sector was detained in St. Petersburg. In March 2023, it became known that the case had been taken to court. On September 14, 2022, in St. Petersburg, law enforcement agencies reported that Ukrainian citizen Alexander Tsepelev was detained on suspicion of producing and selling drugs in the interests of the Right Sector nationalist organization (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

In March 2023, a case against an alleged member of the banned Right Sector was brought to court in Kursk. In March 2022, it became known that a criminal case was opened in Kursk under Part 2 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of a prohibited organization). Previously, Lyudmila Razumova received seven years in prison, and Alexander Martynov - six and a half years. In St. Petersburg, Alexander Tsepelev was sentenced to imprisonment for drug trafficking and financing the Right Sector. On March 16, 2023, the Leningrad Regional Court upheld the decision of the Gatchina City Court dated November 30, 2022, declaring illegal the decision to call for military service to mobilize believer Pavel Mushumansky, who had previously completed alternative civilian service.
