The resources of the four courts are not enough for all cases of crimes of a terrorist nature. On June 1, 2023, the plenum of the Supreme Court of Russia approved a resolution on the submission to the State Duma of draft laws on expanding the jurisdiction of cases of a terrorist nature. On 5 June they were registered in the lower house of parliament.

The reason for the criminal prosecution of Sergei Sosov was a photograph from the Immortal Regiment rally, to which a portrait of Hitler was added. On February 29, 2024, the First Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction approved the sentence of Tula resident Sergei Sosov. Earlier, on December 7, 2023, the Tula Regional Court sentenced him to three years of forced labor under Part 4 of Art.

We note a noticeable increase in the number of criminal cases on charges of promoting or justifying terrorism (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) against people in custody and deprived of liberty. Why do we keep a list of such things?

After the partial decriminalization of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code, a new article has appeared in the Code of Administrative Offenses - 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity). We collect the decisions made on it into a single list on a monthly basis.

A court in St. Petersburg declared several copies of the song "Oida" prohibited for distribution. On June 6, 2023, the Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg declared the track “Oida” by rapper Oxxxymiron (Miron Fedorov) banned for distribution, posted on a number of addresses on the Internet. The prosecutor's office of the Admiralteisky district sent a statement of claim to the court in December 2022.

Case under Art. 354.1 of the Criminal Code was initiated because of the picture, the author of which added a portrait of Hitler to a photograph from the Immortal Regiment. On June 5, 2023, a local resident Sergei Sosov was detained in Tula. A criminal case was initiated against him under Part 4 of Art. 354.1 of the Criminal Code (dissemination of information expressing clear disrespect for society about the days of Russia's military glory on the Internet).

The Muslim community "Kotelniki" is accused of "illegal missionary work" and failure to comply with fire safety requirements. On June 5, 2023, cases were initiated against the local religious organization of Muslims in Kotelniki near Moscow under part of the law. 3 and 4 art.
