On August 13, 2023, it became known that a police investigation had begun against the rector of the Church of the Holy 12 Apostles in Balaklava, Archpriest Pavel Bondar. The investigation was launched following a complaint from Olga O., a 72-year-old employee of the Sevastopol center for ecological and naturalistic creativity of students. According to the teacher, the priest preaches sermons in support of Ukraine and conducts anti-Russian campaigning among parishioners.

In the Republic of Tatarstan, a criminal case for inciting hatred has been launched against a local businessman who, among other things, called for “cutting out Russian language.” The court chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest.
