Russian and Ukrainian intelligence services accuse each other's intelligence agencies of overseeing the teenager's activities.

On June 23, 2026, the Novovyatsky District Court of Kirov sentenced 62-year-old businessman Alexander Avdeev under Part 1 of Art. 282.3 of the Criminal Code (financing of extremism) and Part 2 of Art. 294 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (obstruction of a preliminary investigation). He was sentenced to a fine of 330 thousand rubles.

In the Yaroslavl region, a suspect was detained for preparing to arson a synagogue. A criminal case has been opened. On June 29, 2026, a Russian citizen was detained in the Yaroslavl region, reportedly preparing to set fire to a synagogue. According to investigators, the man, on the instructions of a curator from Syria, bought components for making incendiary mixtures, conducted reconnaissance and photographed the object.

In St. Petersburg, a court sentenced 35-year-old Mikhail Ognev, who was found guilty of publishing two comments on social networks calling for xenophobic violence, to 1.5 years in prison. On June 26, 2026, the Frunzensky District Court of St. Petersburg issued a verdict under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities). In the dock was 35-year-old Mikhail Ognev, a CNC machine operator who worked at the Vozrozhdenie plant.

In Arkhangelsk, the court sentenced 54-year-old Viktor Chekrygin, who was found guilty of repeated display of Nazi symbols, to 280 hours of compulsory labor. On May 15, 2026, the Primorsky District Court of the Arkhangelsk Region sentenced 54-year-old employee of the Malye Korely Museum Viktor Chekrygin. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282.4 of the Criminal Code (repeated public display of Nazi symbols).

In St. Petersburg, a court sentenced Andrei Bogodarov to 18 years in prison, finding him guilty of treason, participation in a terrorist RDK and preparing to create an explosive device. On June 10, 2026, the 1st Western District Military Court sentenced 56-year-old Andrei Bogodarov to 18 years in prison in the case of participation in the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK). In August 2024, a court in St. Petersburg sent Bogodarov to a pre-trial detention center. Bogodarov was charged under Art.

Apparently, the case was about transfers to the banned Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK). On June 27, 2026, it became known that the Pyatigorsk City Court sentenced Fedor Mikhnev, a resident of the Goryachevodsky village, under Part 1 of Art. 282.3 of the Criminal Code (financing of extremism). He was sentenced to three years' suspended imprisonment. According to the regional FSB Directorate, the accused transferred money to a “non-profit organization recognized as extremist” in Russia.

Most likely, this is another case of financing the banned FBK. On June 26, 2026, it became known that a case had been opened in the Bryansk region under Part 1 of Art. 282.3 of the Criminal Code (financing of extremism). This was reported by the regional department of the FSB. According to the department, from August to September 2021, a resident of the Bryansk region transferred money to a foreign bank account of a certain fund related to an extremist organization.
