Barclays CEO quits after investigation into links to Jeffrey Epstein
Barclays CEO Jess Staley, 64, is stepping down from his post on Monday, November 1st. On Friday, the management of the investment bank was informed of the preliminary results of the investigation of Staley's links with the financier Jeffrey Epstein accused of sex trafficking, writes Bloomberg. The bank's release states that Staley will dispute the results of the investigation and, in connection with this, as well as the essence of the results, is leaving management.
