The 33-year-old man, detained on December 7 at Charles de Goll Airport, turned out to be the namesake of the suspect in the murder of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashkudzhi. He was released, said the prosecutor general of France, writes Le Figaro. According to the publication, the detained Khalid Al-Otibi bears the same name as the former member of the Royal Guard of Saudi Arabia, which was, according to investigators, in a group of 15 people who killed Khashkudzhi in 2018.
