In Sri Lanka, protesters against the government seized the residence of the president
According to ADA DERANA, the police used tear gas against protesters. As a result, 33 people were hospitalized, two are in critical condition. The cause of protests was the economic crisis that began in April. Experts evaluate it as the largest since 1948, when the country has gained independence from the UK. Now on the island there are no foods, drugs and fuel. According to the UN, four out of five inhabitants of the island are forced to skip food meals due to poverty.
