The Congress of the Communist Party was nominated by presidential candidate Nikolai Kharitonov. He “cannot speak” than he is better than Putin and is expecting to win
The presidential candidate from the Communist Party, according to the decision of the party congress, will be Nikolai Kharitonov, a member of the Presidium of its Central Committee. Kharitonov was already running for president in 2004, gaining a little less than 14% of the vote. During the congress, Oleg Smolin, a State Duma deputy from the Communists, directly stated that the upcoming elections were not elections, representing a “referendum on trust in the current president” - Putin.
