Ukrainian special forces soldier Alexander Lyubas sentenced to 20 years in prison by Russian court for attempting to land in Crimea
The Southern District Military Court sentenced Ukrainian citizen Alexander Lyubas to 20 years in prison. He was accused, among other things, of terrorism and illegally crossing the Russian border. According to the investigation, Lyubas served in the special forces of the GUR (Ukrainian military intelligence) and, as part of a group, on October 4, 2023, intended to land on the territory of the Chernomorsky district in Crimea in order to plant the Ukrainian flag there and record a video.
