The holiday of September 16 is traditionally an important event for the region, where more than 20% of the population is Mexicans.

Sweden has reported a significant increase in satellite navigation failures over the Baltic Sea in the past year, according to new statistics published by the Swedish Transport Agency. The agency said it now receives reports of interference affecting civilian aircraft navigation from the area “almost daily.” The number of disruptions in the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has steadily grown since late 2023. That year, 55 incidents were recorded. In 2024, the number jumped to 495.
