Polish pipeline operator to connect to NATO fuel line system used to supply troops
Polish oil transportation and storage company PERN will on Friday sign an agreement with the country's defense ministry allowing it to connect to NATO's Central European Pipeline System (CEPS), which is designed to supply alliance troops with fuel in the event of war. Reuters reports this. Currently, a system of pipes for jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel and naphtha connects Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands and ends several hundred kilometers from the Polish border.
