The Russian market for laser cutting machines, in demand by the military-industrial complex, was occupied by Chinese manufacturers after the departure of Western companies.
For comparison: in 2021, laser cutting machines worth $143 million were imported into Russia, in 2022 - $161 million, in 2023 - $193 million, in 2024 - $246 million. Taking into account extrapolation for the rest of the year, 2025 does not look like a failure for this industry. The share of Chinese machine tools was high even before the outbreak of a full-scale war, but the German Trumpf in 2021 ranked second among supplied brands with imports worth $6 million.
