Raised by the Reich: The lasting scars of a totalitarian childhood

For an authoritarian regime, the importance of influencing children had already been fully understood in Nazi Germany. Through schools and youth organizations, the Nazis poisoned the minds of young Germans with propaganda, instilling hatred, fanaticism, and unconditional obedience to the Führer.
