The European Parliament has sent the trade agreement with the South American group of countries MERCOSUR, signed after 25 years of negotiations, to the European Court of Justice
The European Parliament decided to postpone the adoption of a free trade agreement between the EU and the countries of the South American bloc MERCOSUR (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay) and sent it to the European Court for consideration. A small majority of deputies voted for the corresponding resolution in Strasbourg, Tagesschau reports . 334 deputies were in favor of checking the agreement by the court, 324 were against it, and 11 abstained.
