In the North Caucasus, flooding has continued for the fifth day, which began on the evening of March 28 after heavy rains and gusty winds. In Dagestan, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 822 residential buildings remain flooded, and in Chechnya - 50 residential buildings. According to regional media, the flooding was the worst in the last 107 years: in some areas, about 50 mm of rain fell in a few hours, which small channels, gullies and city sewers could not cope with.
