Up to your ears in mud
Today a staff meeting was held with the Mayor of Tomsk Alexander Makarov. As usual, most of the talk was about landscaping. The dirt in the courtyards, on the tram tracks and in the city in general was discussed. The mayor is conducting today's meeting in an unusually authoritarian spirit. He speaks mostly himself. And mostly on my favorite topic. This leitmotif of the mayor's office has already become familiar.

Stop, tap!
The demolition of iron garages continues in Tomsk. This morning special equipment went to Nekrasova Street. But the garage owners blocked the crane's path with their own cars. The crane stands to the side - the passage to Nekrasova, 2, to the garages, is closed. The owners came out to protect their iron property. A construction company is claiming the land. A residential building is planned in place of the garages.

The renovation of the lyceum has not yet begun.
The Humanitarian Lyceum may not return to its old building on Ushayki Embankment. Last year, by order of the city Department of Education, the building was closed for renovation, and the students, together with their teachers, moved to school No. 57 on the Irkutsk tract. However, renovations to their previous building never began. Graduates of the Humanitarian Lyceum joke: this year’s graduation is the thirteenth. Apparently that’s why the year turned out to be so difficult.

NTV management fired Leonid Parfenov
One of the main federal news of today is the dismissal of the head and host of the Namedni program Leonid Parfenov. As stated in the official statement of NTV, “the reason for the dismissal was the closure of the Namedni program, associated with a violation of the employment contract committed by Parfenov: the contract obligated him to support the policy of the television company’s management.” NTV management has so far refrained from making any other comments.

Literally six meters from the house on Sovetskaya, 96, the Tomlesstroy company is going to build a multi-storey building. For the third year now, residents have been turning to the Southern District administration, the mayor's office and even the prosecutor's office. They are trying to defend their green yard.

The resettlement of Komsomolskoye residents remains a mystery
Residents of the streets adjacent to Komsomolsky Avenue have been sitting on their suitcases for the second month now, waiting for the promised resettlement. The resettlement and demolition of their houses is necessary to complete the reconstruction of the avenue. But the mayor’s office seems to be in no hurry with the resettlement, thereby slowing down construction and keeping local residents in suspense. According to the plan, 34 houses are to be demolished. 76 families need to be resettled.
