The head of the corporation, Steve Jobs, brought the new Apple product to a special presentation at Macworld 2008, held in San Francisco, in an envelope. Inside was a laptop - ultra-thin and ultra-portable, as Apple describes it. The thickness of the computer, called MacBook Air, is only 19.3 mm and weighs just over a kilogram. Sales of the MacBook Air in the US will begin in two weeks, and its base price will be $1,799 (excluding sales tax).
