Sentence for migrant worker killer
The Moscow City Court yesterday sentenced Uzbek citizen Farkhod Tursunov, accused of rape and murder of 15-year-old Moscow schoolgirl Anna Beshnova, to 23 years in a maximum security colony. “The court sentenced Tursunov to be found guilty of committing crimes under Articles 105 (murder), 131 (rape) and 132 (violent acts of a sexual nature),” said judge Andrei Rasnovsky, announcing the verdict. The judge imposed a harsher punishment than the prosecutor requested during the debate.
