After a weekly break, the process resumed, and the so-called witnesses of the accusations appeared in the arena: the former head of CJSC “Volna” Andrei Krainov, who was a convention for five years conventionally in the first case of Khodorkovsky-Labedev, and the former manager of the company East Petroleum, Yevgeny Rybin, of which a former employee of the UKOS STRISSIA was accused Pichugin and former vice president of Yukos Leonid Nevzlin. Rybin spoke for a long time and extensively about the all kinds of sins of the accused and other representatives of Yukos, although this had no attitude to the charges. The lawyer of Platon Lebedev Konstantin Rivkin spoke about the interrogation of witnesses and the behavior of the chairman at meetings at the request of the “daily magazine”:

“What we expected is happening: the nasty party has not yet introduced a single witness in the full sense of the word, and we think that there simply will not be such. It was established that when the witness Kraynov was interrogated during the preliminary investigation, the investigation authorities, in fact, misled regarding those facts that, in their opinion, are essential for the prosecution. This was documented in the process of interrogation.

We are far from satisfied with the chairman's behavior. For example, when we ask you to introduce documents to the case file that we consider essential to achieve truth, we are refused this, and regularly. When the prosecutor’s office does the same, everything is meekly implemented. However, during the interrogation of witnesses, I do not observe special bias on the part of the chairman - on the contrary, an attempt is visible to understand what the specifics of oil production, oil refining, and so on are. Moreover, in some cases when the prosecutor’s office objected to the actions related to the witnesses of certain issues, the presiding judge said that it was necessary to find out, including in order to understand these issues himself. We can only welcome this approach. ”

Laughter in the hall

Somehow it seemed a little more fun in the courtroom.

This is not the first time. ” To which the forever sleepy judge languidly reacts: “But I did not notice who laughed. The bailiff, who laughed there? Well, figure it out! "

The judge generally tries not to get out of the role of the suffering somnambula, clearly not understanding why, for what sins he got into this hall. This role seems especially spectacular against the background of traditional ideas about the role of a judge as a carrier of eternal truths and the ruler of human destinies. This judge is a product of dramatic innovation, comparable in force of persuasiveness only with Judge Lyapkin-Stalkin.

All roles have already become familiar. The judge is still a pity all the time. The defendants all the time look like judges. And the prosecutors all the time I want to send home so that they still learn the role and not be stuck so much.

However, new roles appeared, and with them new intrigues. These are witnesses. Two. This couple is thought out dramaticly competently, for against the background of a sluggish, inexpressive, not remembering anything and not insisting witness Krainov, the witness of Rybin - the resoner and exposure of the Chatsky Pokhotsky - looks pretty bright. Here, for example, is not Chatsky: “If Khodorkovsky acts as the Savior of the Fatherland, I would not want to live in such a Fatherland!”

There would be time to arise, and instead the soulless protocol notes the same “laughter in the hall”. What kind of audience, by God!
