Rosokhrankultura warned the media 9 times about the inadmissibility of extremist propaganda

The Federal Service for Supervision of Compliance with Legislation in the Sphere of Mass Communications and the Protection of Cultural Heritage (Rosohrankultura) issued, according to the press service of this department, almost a year of its existence, 9 warnings to various media "for using the media to carry out extremist activities " .

The head of the department, Boris Boyarskov, noted that "most editorial offices of newspapers and electronic media respond adequately to the warnings issued ," while "previously, many of them did not pay attention either to the exact formatting of imprint data or to publications that could contribute to inciting ethnic hatred" .

We are aware of two warnings by Rosokhrankultura related to "inciting national hatred" in the media - the St. Petersburg TV program "Two Against One" (November 2004) and the newspaper "Northern Ossetia" (December 2004).

In addition, it is not entirely clear whether the corresponding warnings were actually issued to the newspapers Rus Pravoslavnaya and Bereg (Voronezh).

Probably, the rest of the warnings mentioned by the representative of the department were related to "ethnically uncolored" extremism, as was the case, for example, with Kommersant, which published an interview with Maskhadov.
