Attack on an expert on xenophobia in St. Petersburg

On November 15, 2006, at about 10:30 pm in St. Petersburg, two unidentified men attacked an expert on xenophobia, a teacher at the Smolny Institute of Liberal Sciences and Arts, 36-year-old Dmitry Dubrovsky.

D. Dubrovsky was overtaken near the house by two 17-18 year old teenagers, dressed in dark jackets, black hats and dark trousers, when he returned from the institute after a seminar at which he made a co-report and showed a film on the Russian March . One of the attackers grabbed the expert from behind by the throat and hissed in his ear, "Dubrovsky, you want to sell Russia to the Jews . " After that, he was hit several times in the face. The expert began to break out. The attackers released him and fled the scene.

The victim did not seek medical help, because. did not receive any bodily injury. On November 16, 2006, he asked for advice from the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Northwestern Federal District.

D. Dubrovsky believes that members of an organization belonging to Orthodox fundamentalists, whose activities he professionally studies, could have attacked him.
