Right-wing radicals May 9

On May 9, right-wing radical organizations held a procession officially timed to coincide with Victory Day. As in the case of the "Russian March" on November 4, 2006 , the "People's Union" of Sergei Baburin acted as the official organizer of the procession.

The procession was officially attended by the RONS, "Slavic Union", the Union of Orthodox Banner Bearers, the Union of the Russian People, "Kuryanovich CREW", as well as supporters of General Kvachkov (the latter acted under openly anti-Semitic slogans). The procession was given mass character by supporters of the DPNI and Great Russia, who participated in the event unofficially. (The official DPNI event was held in Izmailovo).

In addition to Sergei Baburin, the deputies of the State Duma Viktor Alksnis and Nikolai Kuryanovich took part in the procession. The deputies protected the participants of the procession from the claims of the militia, and, according to some testimonies, they managed to "protect" even those who came to the procession with knives. However, Dmitry Demushkin and another person from the Slavic Union were detained by the police. According to right-wing radicals - "for trying to deploy the slogan "No to Kadyrov Street in Moscow."

The procession participants chanted "Kondopoga - the hero city!", "Glory to Russia!", "Russia - Russian order!" "Zigzag".

The police did not interfere with the march of right-wing radicals.
