DPNI calls to “repeat the Kondopoga experience”

On June 3, 2007, DPNI issued an appeal in connection with the events in Stavropol, which called for "repeat the experience of Kondopoga" .

In his address to the residents of the city, the coordinator of the Central Council of the DPNI for Stavropol (Pavel Belov) proposes " "to hold a gathering of citizens with the involvement of the maximum number of patriotic organizations not associated with the authorities .

In particular, the DPNI proposes as requirements for the "descent":

* "to evict all persons who previously took part in the criminal activities of Chechen bandit formations from all cities of the Territory;...

putting things in order in the markets so that they are traded not by visiting dealers, but by the indigenous population * (we remind you that, in accordance with last year's decree of the Russian government, trading in markets for foreign citizens is prohibited - ed. ) ;

to recommend to everyone who arrived after 1991 from the republics to return home (the last thesis is a verbatim repetition of the resolutions initiated by the DPNI at three rallies in the fall of 2006 - ed. )".

The draft resolution contains a threat "in case of non-compliance with the decisions of the gathering, the residents ... reserve the right to make independent decisions that can protect their lives and dignity from ethnic gangs, among which is the formation of self-defense groups from friends and relatives."

Obviously, the desire of right-wing organizations to repeat the scenario of the Kondopoga events. Rumors of a whole series of murders are spreading around the city, rumors of "cut off heads" are constantly circulating, and on this basis, statements by law enforcement agencies that people of Slavic appearance are suspected of the murder of the last days are declared false.

Right-wing radicals on the forums take responsibility for the beating of 5 "Caucasians" and the destruction of one car committed these days.

At the same time, it is significant that some of the right-wing radical activists of Stavropol cast doubt on the rumors about a large number of victims, and suspect a provocation in this, in particular (remembering the incident with the rally in February 2007, which was announced by the DPNI and at which the "fighters against illegal immigration" were not) the provocation of DPNI.
