January 16, 2013 the court of the city of Berezniki in the Perm region refused a member of the Pussy Riot group Maria Alyokhina to satisfy her petitions for a stay of punishment until her son reaches the age of 14.
Recall that the members of Pussy Riot were convicted for the action in Cathedral of Christ the Savior according to Part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy motivated by hatred), Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina received two years in prison in a penal colony, Ekaterina Samutsevich - two years of probation with a two-year probationary period. We consider this verdict unjustified.
