The All-Russian Muftiate does not protest against the recognition of the Koran in E. Kuliev’s translation as an extremist text

He reported journalists that “ from a theological point of view, the works of Elmir Kuliyev correspond to the views of the "Salafi" school, and not to the traditional Muslims of Russia to Islam ”, however, it was “ many times published in Russia, thousands of copies and in various formats, freely sold in bookstores store and massively distributed in online publications .

Other members of the Ulema Council refused to comment on the decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Novorossiysk, 17 September 2013, who recognized the text of the Koran as extremist in the translation of Elmir Kuliyev (published in Saudi Arabia in 2002).

As a reminder, on September 20, the Council Muftiev appealed to the President of the Russian Federation with a request to review the court decision.
