With what the democratic opposition came to the campaign for the State Duma election - the New Times sorted out

The elections are over, but the Parnas website still calls to take part in them

On May 28 and 29, the primaries of the Parnas party took place. The very fact of their holding was already surprised by others: in early May, the democratic coalition actually fell apart - Alexei Navalny and some of his comrades in the FBK and the Party of Progress, the Demol Party, and also refused to participate in the primaries, deputy chairman of Parnas Ilya Yashin (see NT No. 16 of May 16 ) came out of it. Since initially the primaries under the slogan "Raise a wave of change!" They started in order to enable representatives of different democratic forces to participate in the State Duma elections according to the Parnassus list, the meaning of their holding after the collapse of the coalition was lost. Nevertheless, Parnassus brought the procedure to the end. Rather, he did not quite bring. At noon on May 29, the vote had to be interrupted.

Passwords and turnouts

On the morning of May 29, a scandal began: on the primaries website, news came out about the voting progress, to which a file containing personal data of the time to vote: surnames, email addresses and passwords from voting accounts. Since most users, according to tradition, are not very worried about the security on the network and use one password for ease of memorization for entering all their accounts, complaints about hacking mailboxes and accounts on social networks appeared quite quickly. Information about Pancakes Parnassus published all the significant Russian-speaking Internet media; Nevertheless, the file for about an hour remained available for download. Then, a text with an apology appeared on the primaries' website, which stated that the personal data of voters got into the network due to the “administrator error”. Later the text from the site disappeared. In Parnassus they were clearly in a panic and did not know how to get out of this situation. The case ended with a short message: “Due to the unauthorized access to the database, the information leaks.” The leader of Parnassus Mikhail Kasyanov wrote on Facebook about the hacker carried out by the “attackers”. That is, they decided to blame everything on the intrigues of an external enemy. However, computer security experts who immediately began to analyze the available information and posted extensive analysis of the incident on specialized sites, argued: most likely, the reason is the human factor. In other words, the negligence of the performers.

By the way, in April, sources in the Demoralia told NT in April that the development of the site for primaries is not a very professional team, and one of the reasons for the transfer of voting from the end of April to late May is banal flaws. An indirect evidence that work with the site is not a priority sphere for Parnassus, can serve as another fact: at the time of delivery of the material to the seal (almost a week after the end of the vote) on the “waves of change” the visitor is called by calling: “Become a candidate or voter for the primarmatic opposition!” We also note that the word "coalition" is no longer in use.

But the troubles of Parnassus did not end there. A careful study of the voter list that fell into free access was shown: dozens of voting the same - and at the same time very complex passwords. Which with a high degree of probability suggests: there was a “hazard” of false voters and an attempt to manipulate voting results. So - they did not analyze the list of voters before voting and did not try to weed out the manipulators (although in the elections to the coordination council of the opposition in 2012, where the vote also went mainly online, such a problem already arose and was successfully solved, that is, there was experience, unlike the desire to study this experience). The situation for the Kasyanov party became both anecdotal and catastrophic.

Saratov champion

The accounting commission tried to cut off the “bots groups” post -facts (according to Parnassus, about 7 thousand of about 24 thousand registered voters voted), but without taking into account the voting of bots it turned out that the unconditional leader of the primaries was Vyacheslav Maltsev, a person, a person in Moscow near -political circles, not known, albeit a popular one: it is popular. As a rule, tens of thousands of spectators are watching, as a rule, for an hour and a half, monologues on the Yutub-Channel, tens of thousands of spectators. Maltsev’s views of a person who is not familiar with the specifics of Saratov politics may seem non -trivial. In one of the videos, for example (citing Vladislav Surkov!), It reports that "Russia has two possible leaders - Vyacheslav Maltsev and Vyacheslav Volodin." And it lamented that without the support of the people and without a revolution he, Maltsev, does not intercept the power of Volodin.

Saratov is the homeland and the patrimony of the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Vyacheslav Volodin. Perhaps that is why in the ranks of the representatives of the political elites there, his cult reigns - the opposition has a negative, “black”, but still a cult. In Saratov, they know for sure: the world rotates around their fellow countryman, and all the others on the political stage, including even the president, are miserable statists. But the capital's audience The views of the unconditional winner of democratic primaries were amused. By the way, Maltsev even calls the exact date of the revolution, which will bring it to the Russian throne - November 5, 2017. At the same time, according to the Saratov sources of NT , Vyacheslav Maltsev is by no means a city crazy, but on the contrary - a cynic who has been thought out by a self -patient on the Internet for several years. Judging by the results of the primaries - not only thoughtfully, but also quite successfully: the closest competitor, historian Andrei Zubov, he went around the voices almost three times.

The important part of Maltsev’s political views, which turned out to be saving for Parnas, is his persistent confidence that everything in Russia was captured by the Jewish mafia and the struggle with it is the main task of any real patriot.

What to do with the results of the primaries, the party thought for two days: on May 31 a meeting of the Bureau of the Political Council was held, and on June 1, Mikhail Kasyanov made an official statement according to the results. The formation of the electoral list is the case of the Federal Political Council and the Congress, but the bureau recommends: to give the first place to the party chairman, the second - Andrei Zubov, who took second place in the primaries, the third - Andrei Pivovarov (seventh place in the primaries). This, according to Ilya Yashin, is a sign of support to Pivovarov, who was instructed in Kostroma during last year’s elections in Kostroma (see NT No. 27 of August 31, 2015) . And the blogger Maltsev from among the candidates to exclude for anti -Semitism (which he did not hide and which, apparently, did not bother anyone in the party before the end of the primaries). By the way, it is recommended that after hot debates, not to nominate as a candidate in the State Duma and Natalia Pelevin - the heroine of the scandalous film NTV Kasyanov Day, which was, if not a reason, then certainly the reason for the collapse of the democraticization. On the primaries, Pelevin took sixth place, receiving over nine hundred votes.

There is no need to say what glee caused what was happening around the primaries of Parnas in the pro -Kremlin media and blogs (on TV they preferred to simply not notice this story). But potential - or former - allies did not stand aside. The lying was beaten in a reel.

Alexey Navalny in a detailed way and not without obvious gloating made out all the mistakes of Kasyanov’s party in his blog. And on Twitter even called on the “executive leadership of the party” to resign. Then I had to explain separately that we are talking about the resignation of an executive, and not political leadership. “The main reason for failure is the fear of voters and fear of competition. Well, you look, everyone is shaking. Ah, nationalists will run in and vote. Ah, they will run away from Navalny - he has an advantage on the Internet. Ah, they ran from Maltsev, he has a sect. We are better quietly - a passage, a political messenger, a meeting. And then they will run, ”Navalny caused. In addition, in one of the comments for the media, he stated that none of the Democrats had a chance of elections - and this was considered a call to the boycott of the Duma campaign. Thus, according to the tangent, the leader of the Progress Party, for example, Dmitry Gudkov, who was coming from Yabloko with a single -mandate in Moscow, and candidates of Open Russia Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who are not at all involved in disassemblies around the demo.

The closest ally of Navalny Leonid Volkov was more restrained and even praised the work of the election commission of the primaries, and the problems in their conduct connected with unprofessionalism responsible for the Internet technology.

But then there was a scandal, in the epicenter of which there were already wolves with Navalny, and the public simply forgot about the failure of the primaries. During the direct line on the Rain television channel, Navalny called Maxim Katz - a professional player in poker, a self -proclaimed urbanist and a near -political party - a “dishonorable person and a rogue” for connections with the Moscow Mayor and dubious financial operations during the elections to the Moscow City Duma. He also added that he kicked Katsa from his own headquarters two weeks before the election (meaning the election of the Moscow Mayor in 2013. - NT ). Katz was offended and answered with a series of posts on his blog, as well as the publication on the blog of his long-standing business partner Ilya Varlamov Sesemes correspondence, designed to prove that the conflict has a romantic reason: supposedly Katz turned out to be more successful than wolves (in the elections of the Moscow mayor-the chief of staff of Navalny), in one of the ladies who worked at the staff. And Navalny and then, and now he just covered his old friend.

Literally: Katz proved his own decency, draining someone else's correspondence into the network. And the day for the publication of revelations was chosen.

While on the Web joined the unlucky in love Volkov, Alexei Navalny was summoned for the interrogation of the SK in the case of slander in former investigator Pavel Karpov (Navalny published materials about Karpov’s involvement in the death of Sergei Magnitsky). Before the interrogation of the opposition was searched - apparently, hoping to find a testimony of intent on slander in a pocket or in a toe. But they found only a passport addressed to Alexei Navalny. In parallel, the search took place in Navalny's apartment. They seized all the equipment, including the phone of a minor daughter. In addition, the brother of Alexei, Oleg Navalny, serving the deadline for the Yves Rocher case, filed at Udo. And although the judicial consideration is scheduled for June 27, the verdict of the Commission on Early Liberation of the Colony is already known: “Inappropriate”.

The results of the liberal opposition that have not yet begun, but already a failed Duma campaign: the idea of ​​“direct democracy” is completely discredited. All leaders - both Parnassus and the Parties of Progress - showed that they cannot agree among themselves and that the place in the list, which has no chance of passing the electoral barrier, is more interesting for them than working with voters. Both sympathetic and the opponents are in great scandals: the NTV film, the collapse of the coalition, where the participants were not particularly well managed to cover personal ambitions with reasoning about the need to observe agreements. And even almost the only relatively successful election campaign of the opposition of recent years - the election of the Moscow Mayor - is now tightly linked with the plums of personal correspondence and the spicy details of the fun life of the headquarters. And indirectly, these scandals also hurt the one-year-old candidates who are not involved in squabbles around the failed association.

The opposition electorate is divided with such excitement, as if for liberals - half the country. But the power acts clearly, consistently prioritizes and presses opponents without pity. And opponents - not even thinking about a sense of self -support - multiply scandals, ultimately working for power. Against yourself and against your supporters.
