SK did not find a crime in the case of sexual harassment at school

On April 24, the investigator of the Cheremushkinsky inter-district investigative department of the SK in the South-Western administrative district of Moscow Nikita Belousov signed a decision to refuse to institute criminal proceedings against the director of the League of Schools Sergey Bebchuk and his deputy Nikolai Izumov in the case of sexual harassment of students. Recall that the check began after in January of this year the article “25 years of violence” appeared at Medusa, in which former students of the Moscow school for gifted children talked about how they became victims of sexual harassment from Bebchuk and Izumov. Several dozen have such evidence. Medusa could not contact Bebchuk, Izumov denied all the accusations. The article caused a great resonance in the media and social networks. As written in the resolution, the UK will not institute criminal proceedings due to the fact that the alleged victims did not contact the police with written statements in a timely manner, and other pupils surveyed did not confirm illegal actions. Thus, in the actions of Bobchuk and Izumov there are no signs of a crime under Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“depraved actions”). The UK also will not institute criminal proceedings under part 2 of Article 306 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“False denunciation”) against witnesses who talked about sexual harassment by Bobchuk and Izumov.

At the same time, the resolution provides the testimony of victims of sexual harassment confirming the accusations against the leadership of the school.
