Former Minister of Economic Development of Russia Alexei Ulyukaev was sentenced to eight years in a maximum security colony for receiving a bribe from the head of Rosneft Igor Sechin. After the sentence was announced, the convict was taken into custody in the courtroom - this is how it was .

The main trial of the year turned out to be quite strange : it is enough to say that the main evidence of Ulyukaev’s guilt was the testimony of a witness who did not see and did not hear how the minister demands a bribe. The press secretary of Rosneft Mikhail Leontyev made a characteristic commentary:

“Ulyukaev was detained in vigorous. Actually, no special evidence was required. Ulyukaev’s fault is obvious. ”

He seemed to be not a politician, but he played an outstanding role in the campaigns of 1996 and 1999, in general in our history. That is, it seems that no one, but it seems - everything. ”
